The Sherpa Steps to Mount UlrikenThe Sherpa steps to Mount Ulriken in Bergen offer a scenic and sturdy hiking route to the city's highest peak.

The Ulriksbanen is an aerial tramway (gondola lift) that takes you from the lower station at Haukelandsbakken to the top of Mount Ulriken, the highest of Bergen’s “Seven Mountains” (643 meters above sea level).
The ride takes approximately 3–5 minutes, and from the top, you get panoramic views of Bergen, the surrounding fjords, and mountains.
At the summit, you’ll find Skyskraperen Restaurant and a café serving local dishes, ice cream, and the famous “Ulriken bun.”

The Fløibanen is one of Bergen’s most popular attractions—a funicular railway that takes you from the city center to the top of Mount Fløyen (320 meters above sea level) in just 6 minutes.
The ride offers scenic views over Bergen and the surrounding fjords, and at the top you’ll find hiking trails, a restaurant, a café, and a playground.
It’s the perfect starting point for nature walks or simply enjoying the panoramic view of the city.
