The EMBO Keynote Lecture and Welcome Reception will be held in the University Aula, located in the south wing of the Natural History Museum at Muséplassen 3, on the Nygårdshøyden campus of the University of Bergen. Opened in 2015, the Aula is the grand ceremonial hall of the University and seats up to 350 guests. The building is surrounded by the historic museum garden, one of Bergen's most beautiful botanical spaces.

The venue is within walking distance of the conference hotels and the city centre.
